how the answerphone service works
The answerphone service works in the following manner, this is a very
simple example, combine it with other service to create a professional
answering service:
- caller dials the number.
- answerphone service answers the call, optionally plays the caller
a customisable prompt, such as 'Thank you for callling XYZ Ltd'.
- the caller is prompted to leave a message
- caller leaves message.
- message is stored, you are notified by SMS (with caller CLI), or email
with message as attachment.
- messages may be managed via email, web, or phone
The key elements are that:
- all the prompts can be turned off or tailored to your requirements
by you directly
- changes can be made at any time of the day or year
